Sungai Janiah Tourism Object

Sungai janiah located in nagari  tabek panjang kecematan baso kabupaten agam. It has been famous lagend from long time ago.  The place located 3,5 km from intersection of baso market. On the roadside of payakumbuh- bukittinggi highway. Now, the place used as a tourism object. Sungai janiah is not a river of clear water, but only just a pool fish behind a mosque.

            In the sungai janiah The visitor came to the place just to see the fist that  swim to and fro. Population in there, does anyone know the type of fish. They just know length of the fish about half a meter to a small 10 cm. The fish have a dark color, slim and also long body. The people only know that the fish have a powerful and had existed since ancient times. According the ancestor of fish in there comes from a girl.

Sungai janiah have two legend version. The first version come from the Chairman of Tourism Section C. Panggulu Basa and the second version according to figures sungai Janiah, Mochtar Tuanku Sampono.The conclusion of the legend said that the fish comes from a girl who the condemned by her mother. The water of the pool often changes its color. Sometimes yellow, sometimes greenish, and sometimes clear. Until now no people who know the reason, why the water often change the color.

That way sungai janiah will bring in more visitors.
